The daily operations desk: a clear starting point for the working day
See who is arriving, who has checked in, who is still waiting, and what the boats and cabins look like.
Every operations team asks the same questions at the start of the day. Who is coming today? Who has already checked in? Who are we still waiting for? Which boats are going out, and how full are they?
The daily operations desk puts those answers on one screen:
- Guests expected today
- Completed check-ins
- Guests still waiting
- Boat schedules for the day
- Cabin availability for liveaboards
Why it matters
A good morning briefing is short. Staff open the desk, see the day’s picture and start working, without assembling it from a calendar, a spreadsheet and a chat history. As check-ins are completed, the “still waiting” group is what the team needs to follow up on.
The desk is not the end of the workflow. It is the starting point, and from there staff can move into departures, bookings and rosters.
